Soulblight Gravelords: Deadwalker Zombies

The Shambling Tide of the Unending Night.

Deadwalker Zombies are the tragic remnants of the recently deceased, reanimated by the necromantic pulses of the Cursed Skies. Individually, a zombie is slow, mindless, and fragile. However, they are never "individual." They are a relentless, moaning wall of rotten flesh that overwhelms enemies not through skill, but through sheer, suffocating numbers. In a Soulblight Gravelords army, they are the ultimate "chaff" unit—expendable, numerous, and surprisingly dangerous.

Why They Are a Necromantic Nightmare

  • The "Newly Dead" Ability: This is their most terrifying trait. Whenever a Deadwalker Zombie kills an enemy model, there is a chance that model is immediately added to the Zombie unit as a fresh corpse. In a long combat, the unit can actually grow larger than it started.

  • Massive Board Control: Because you take them in large blocks (typically 20 or more), they excel at "clogging" the battlefield. They can wrap around enemy elite units, trapping them in a combat they don't want to be in for multiple turns.

  • 6" Pile-In: Unlike most units that can only move 3" to get into base contact, Deadwalkers can pile in 6". This allows them to lunge forward from a surprising distance, dragging enemies into a melee "tar pit" before they are ready.

  • Expendable Shields: They exist to die so your Vampires don't have to. With a low points cost, you can lose 40 zombies and not care, as long as your Vampire Lord or Necromancer remains safe behind them to cast spells.

What’s Inside the Box?

This multi-part plastic kit is famous for its incredible variety and "gross-out" detail, containing 94 components to build 20 Deadwalker Zombies:

  • Morbid Variety: The kit features an array of gruesome details—exposed organs, missing limbs, and zombies carrying various farm tools or rusted weapons.

  • The "Conga Line" Poses: The models are designed to look mid-shamble, with some dragging legs and others reaching out with grasping claws.

  • Customization: Includes a huge selection of heads and interchangeable arms, ensuring that even if you field 60 or 80 of them, no two zombies look exactly alike.

  • Environmental Storytelling: Many zombies have bits of their former lives attached—pieces of a coffin, grave markers, or tattered civilian clothing—adding to the horror aesthetic.

  • Bases: 20x Citadel 25mm Round Bases.

Death is Only the Beginning

A single zombie is a nuisance. A hundred zombies is a catastrophe. Under the command of a Soulblight Wight King or Vampire, they become the inexorable hand of Nagash, reaching out to claim the living for the grave.

"Do not waste your arrows. They do not feel them. Save your strength for the shovel, for you will be digging until the sun fails.
