While gods and monsters clash in the skies, the Freeguild Fusiliers represent the grit and determination of ordinary mortals. Clad in heavy gambesons and carrying massive "Pavise" shields, these soldiers form a mobile fortress. They don't just fire their alchemical firearms; they anchor themselves into the earth, creating an unbreakable line of black powder and lead that can halt even the most terrifying charges.

Why They Are the Ultimate Defensive Firebase

  • The "Fortify" Mechanic: The defining feature of the Fusiliers is their Fortified Position. If they remain stationary, they plant their heavy shields into the ground. This grants them a significantly better Save and improves the range and accuracy of their weapons.

  • Black Powder Volleys: Their Fusil-cannons are devastating at mid-range. When they are "Fortified," they gain extra shots, allowing a single unit to unleash a literal wall of lead that can shred high-threat targets before they ever reach your lines.

  • Synergy with the Fusil-Major: When paired with a Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk, the Fusiliers become even more accurate. The Ogor acts as a spotting tower, guiding their fire with mechanical precision.

  • Human Resilience: They are the gold standard for "hold-the-objective" units. With their high save while entrenched, they are incredibly difficult to push off a point, forcing the enemy to commit their heaviest units to shift a group of "mere" humans.

What’s Inside the Box?

This multi-part plastic kit contains 116 components to build 10 Freeguild Fusiliers:

  • The Pavise Shields: Each model features a heavy, wood-and-iron shield that acts as both cover and a weapon rest.

  • The Fusil-cannons: Intricately detailed black-powder rifles with various stock and barrel designs.

  • The Fusil-Sergeant: Components to build a squad leader armed with a brace of pistols or a specialized long-gun.

  • The Black-powder Squire: A unique model within the squad who carries extra ammunition and powder kegs, ensuring the line never runs dry.

  • Diverse Posing: The kit includes a wide array of heads and accessories, allowing you to give your regiment a weathered, "veterans of a hundred sieges" look.

  • Bases: 10x Citadel 28.5mm Round Bases.
